What the site’s features do
The visualizations run locally in your browser. Pause motion controls all scenes on the page. This preference is remembered in session storage for the current tab; it is not sent to a server. Your device’s reduced-motion setting takes priority. Animations stop when their scene is off screen or the page is hidden.
The glossary filter runs in your browser. The example diagram changes only its displayed explanation. The checklist copy button writes the template to your clipboard only when selected. A download provides the same template as a text file.
The site’s application code does not include a tracking service, advertising code, message database, or submission form. Hosting and account access may involve platform processing outside these page features. Refer to the hosting provider’s applicable privacy terms for that processing.
External links and inquiries
Links to Black Atlas, James Scott’s profile, NIST, MITRE, and other referenced sites take you to their services. Their privacy practices apply there. Email links open your configured mail application and do not send a message automatically.
Keep an initial inquiry high level. Use a channel agreed with the responsible team before sharing sensitive material.
Reading and navigation
Pages use semantic headings, visible keyboard focus, a skip-to-content link, descriptive links, and text equivalents for the example diagram. Motion can be paused, and the site respects a reduced-motion preference. Essential content is present in the page HTML.
Use the browser’s zoom and text controls as needed. Wide reference tables can scroll within their own area on smaller screens. A print stylesheet simplifies the guides for printing.
